2x Ultrapure Agarose (3x washed)

• Begin with approx. 300 ml of MilliQ H₂O in 1L flask
• Add Agarose   30g
• Use Invitrogen Ultrapure or Roche Agarose LE

• Bring up to 800 mL with MilliQ H₂O
• Mix by stirring 10 min
• Take off spinner and let settle ~1hour
• Aspirate H₂O (each aspiration take care not to lose the agarose)
• Wash two more times as above
• Add MilliQ H₂O up to 800 mL
• Mix to make uniform and split into 2 1L bottles (400mL each)
• Add MilliQ DI H₂O to make 500mL/bottle
• Autoclave
• Let cool in 50 deg. bath if using immediately or store for later use

TO USE: Microwave to melt 2x agarose and follow procedure for Gutnick Agarose media, YNB media, etc.
