Gutnick Minimal agarose 1LN, Low-NH4/Dex

• To make 2x salts begin with approx. 300 mLs MilliQ H₂O

• Weigh out and add ingredients with constant stirring:
• KH₂PO₄                                  4.7g
• K₂HPO₄                                13.5g
• K₂SO₄                                       1g
• MgSO₄-7H₂O                         0.1g
• NH₄Cl (2mM)                      2 mL of 1M stock

• Bring volume up to 500mL
• Autoclave
• Allow to cool in 50deg. water bath
• Add glucose:
• 10ml of 40% glucose
• Melt 500mL 2x pure agarose (see protocol) in microwave and cool in 50deg. water bath

Combine 2x salts from above with 2x agarose

Ø Mix and pour plates or divide into 2 - 500ml aliquots in 1L bottles for future use
